Lemon Grove Improvement Council is a non-partisan group ready to address the challenges Lemon Grove residents and businesses face. We will identify viable solutions, nurture opportunities for growth, plan ways to cope with the demands, and integrate smart thinking that ensures that all citizens enjoy Lemon Grove prosperity.

Mission and Purpose:

• Achieve smart growth. We will identify and nurture the very best opportunities for growth, plan ways to cope with its demands, integrate environmental thinking, and ensure that all citizens enjoy our city’s prosperity. We will begin action plans for regional growth because as we succeed and Lemon Grove expands, we will need the cooperation of surrounding municipalities and regional service providers. Integrating the environment into economic decisions is vital to smart growth: We must invest in infrastructure that reduces emissions, waste production, and water use, as well as in building and developing a higher-density community.
• We will do more with less. We will help to pinpoint sustainable revenue sources, explore investment partnerships, embrace technology, suggest organizational changes that eliminate overlapping roles, and promote efficiency. As leaders, we will design, introduce and implement private-public partnerships that will be an essential element for smart growth by delivering lower-costs, higher-quality infrastructure, and services.
• We will win support for change. Change is never easy, and sometimes momentum can attract opposition. We will build a high-performing team of committed civil servants, ready to make a difference. We will take every opportunity to forge a stakeholder consensus with residents, visitors, and the business community.
